Project Reporting in the retail management

Challenge​

In a global project with more than 28 markets and 6,000 retailers, status information should be compiled for the weekly management reporting. The manual gathering and copying on the basis of spread Excel and PowerPoint files causes immense expenditure with an unsecure data quality.

Our approach

  • ​Qualitative market information is collected systematically in InfoPath (sub-Project status, risks, next steps) and SharePoint (milestones).
  • Quantitative market information is automatically extracted from the spread planning tools and is saved in a central data cube.
  • All data is edited via Excel Services for the management and market reporting.

Result

The expenditure for the management reporting was reduced perceptibly. With the structured basis of information with a secured data quality, new, interactive and differentiated management evaluations are provided.
