Intranet portal for company headquarters

Challenge​

For a well-known German tutoring company a platform for the internal exchange of information had to be created. The platform should at the same time be the access point for the different applications, support small processes together with an ERP system (e.g. processing of purchase requisitions) and include applications for the daily working life (e.g. catering orders, exchange of parking lots, etc.).

Our approach

Use of SharePoint (Office 365) for the creation of a portal. 

    • Branding of the masterpage
    • Use a partly virtualized approach for the simplified maintenance of the content pages 
    • Use of SharePoint-Wiki-Pages for the simple content care via intra-corporate Key User 
    • Integration of InfoPath for a standardized data entry (catering orders, flower orders, etc.)
    • Display of sub-processes with workflow support for the following integration into the ERP system (e.g. purchase requisitions)
    • Creation of simple reports and provision in SharePoint via Excel-Service-Webparts
    • Close collaboration with the company on the basis of an agile project management approach 

Result

​The portal is today an intensively used platform for internal communication in the company. It supports the employees in the daily processes and is exit point to other systems. The great success of this platform is reflected in its constant expansion with new functions and display of further processes.
